By the way, we got another dog. Buster was just so lonely while we worked so we decided to get another dog. Her name is Lizzy Lou. She is just so cute! We love her and her and Buster get along so great! I guess we will have to wait until we have a bigger place before we get another one! Ha ha. Look at how cute they are..

Okay so I know that I complained that our lives aren't very eventful...REMIND ME TO NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!!

Zach started work at jetblue last Wednesday. The fact that we only have one car meant that I had to drive Zach to Salt Lake City so that I had the car on my only off day so that I could go grocery shopping and such. So I dropped zach off in SLC at 7:30 that morning and headed back to Provo. For those of you who don't know, Utah county has decided to do a TON of road work on the interstate. I was 2 exits from home and hit a HUGE pothole, which blew out my tire. Normally not a big deal. But like I said, this was a huge pothole so not only did I blow out my tire but I also caused my front bumper to come loose and crack and also cause my suspension to mess up. So I pulled over to the side of the road and called Statefarm.

Let's just take a moment so that I can say how much I really love Statefarm. We were considering changing insurance companies to save a little money, but I think that my experience with them has completely changed my mind. We are forever Statefarm! Let me explain....

So I called the insurance company and they said they would send out a tow truck to bring me to the body shop and then the rental car company would bring me a car to use until we get ours fixed... ALL FOR FREE! So after about 6 hours all of this is taken care of and I'm back home ready to relax for what was left of my off day. Forget about grocery supping I was exhausted.

After all of that I was like man I have quite the little post to do with all of my excitement! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA man I was only getting started. Okay so part 2:

I picked up Zach from his first day of Jetblue. He liked it but the toothache he had since Sunday was getting worse. We stopped by Walgreens to get whatever kind of medicine we could thinking that zach could last until Friday when we got him an appointment with the dentist. Well, around8:30 that night he was starting to get a fever from the pain so we looked up a dentist that worked 24 hours. They only one we could find was in SLC so back to him we went. We were thinking he would just give him some heavy shots to help with the pain... Nope! The dentist said that zachs root was so infected that he had to do a root canal right then and there. So he drilled his tooth and had it drain. It was so gross. This is the second root canal Zach has had in less than a year. We are thinking it is because of a bad dentist in his past. But either way he has been dealing with a lot of tooth pain.

So all of this happened in one day. Hahaha I will NEVER wish that I have a more eventful life. I think instead I will just keep with my boring little life. Hopefully we won't have any crazy events for awhile. But at least I finally had something to write about.

Millie's Update

I was accused of "giving up" on blogging by a good friend so I decided to dedicate the blog to her.

Life is going really good for us right now! We are finally feeling like we are all settled in and that life is finally off the little roller coaster.

We both started school last week. Its going really good right now. We both managed to figure out a way to work both our school and work schedules out. Its not too bad to do. But it is still the beginning of the semester. Hopefully it contiues to go jsut as well. Zach should graduate in Apirl of 2012 and if I try really hard I should graduate the same time as him or at least the next semester.

Zach has also started working at JetBlue as well. And he LOVES it. But whats not to love about it. Its going to be great ebcause we are going to be able to work together. He ahs training for the next month at the center in Salt Lake but after that he will be working at home so that will be nice.

Not much more is going on with us right now. Hopefully now that are lives are a little more eventful we will finally have beeter blog post.. Oh and we got a camera for Christmas so expect more photos to be loaded up. hopefully...

I have a friend from college who posted a picture of some groceries she bought this week. I was completely flabbergasted when I saw her savings!! So obviously I had to blog about it!

Ok so I want you to guess how much all this food cost...mind you its all name brand. Here is the break down of what she bought:

‎3 honey nut cheerios, 1 trix, 5 organic cereals, 9 gatorades, 4 monsters, 2 nesquicks, 2 single serving milks, 2 frozen bags of corn on the cob, 2 TGIF skillet meals, 4 lean pockets, 6 organic fries, 2 organic soups, 1 dog food, 4 suave, 4 deodorants, 2 clorox wipes, 3 bags of pasta, 8 bags of gummies, 2 sierra mists, an orange crush and a mug root beer!

Normally it would cost around $151.00 And that's normally how much we spend on groceries every week or so... How much did she spend $0.51!!!! THATS RIGHT $0.51

So Zach and I have decided to join the coupon world! My friend said she would teach me so I will OBVIOUSLY have to brag each time I get a good deal... Yay for exciting posts again!!

Do you ever just feel like you get stuck in a rut? I feel like everyday I do the same thing and NOTHING changes! Blah! I guess that's why I never have anything I want to write about. My life is boring. But on a good note...My blog finally has a background again!

So I said I would post about our anniversary. We didn't do anything really. Haha! It was a hard weekend to try to get any really good plans in because our anniversary fell on a Sunday and we wanted to celebrate on Saturday but Zach's best friend from high decided to get married that day and the wedding was a whole day event from 9am to about 10pm and Zach was the Best man. So then we thought why not Friday night? Nope. Bachelor party! =( I'm not at all bitter! So since I didn't get to do anything special for my anniversary we (and by we I mean I) decided that we are going on a romantic getaway in January to somewhere I want to go!

My birthday wasn't anything to be too happy about either. You know how you finally reach that certain year where you don'tlike your birthdayanymore... I think this was my year. It hit me kinda hard. I'm now 25 and I wish that I have more to show for my life. Zach thinks I'm silly and points out the mission and marriage but I see everything else I wanted too.. a degree, house, CHILDREN!! We did go out to eat with his parents though. We went to the AMAZING Mexican restaurant! I seriously haven't had better Mexican before! So good. Now on to presents. Zach got me a new duvet set for our bedroom. Ive been eyeing it for about 4 months now. My parents got me some new pots and pans and a kitchenaid! (HEAVEN!!!) His parents got me a vacuum (ours broke) and some jewelry and Boggle. I think that Boggle was my favorite gift out of everything! I love that game and we have been looking for the 5x5 forever. Come to find out they stopped making the 5x5 in 1983, so Brett found one on eBay and got it for me! That made me so happy that they went through all that trouble to get it for me.

Zach is loving his Paramedic training more everyday and is always telling me all the fun stuff he learned there. He also recently got hired on with Sam's Club which has been really helpful. We have been trying to find him a job forever. Thankfully the Lord has finally answered our prayers!

Our friends Jared and Millie came to visit the weekend of my birthday. It was really good to see them because we haven't quite made any friends here yet so its always nice to see other people. Jared had an interview with a company in Denver that Thursday so they were in town. Our first guests to stay in our new house. Sure it was an air mattress but it was fun to have sleep over guests! OH and Jared did get the job with that company so they will be moving in December. I guess that means we really have to find new friends!

On a sadder note. One of Zach's friends has recently decided to leave the Church and no longer believes in it and is starting to question Jesus Christ and God. He got his hands onto some anti material and it all went down hill from there. It really breaks my heart because I have read the stuff myself and found myself in a dark place during that time and eventually lost all of my faith in everything. Thankfully I have a loving Heavenly Father that never gave up on me and I found my way back with a stronger testimony and a desire to help others know too and served a mission. We pray every night for him that he will find his way back too. I am so grateful for Christ and the sacrifice he made so that if I do get lost I can always come back. I love this Gospel and everything its brings to me in this life. I just wish others could see those blessings too.

Change

It really has been awhile since I have done any updating. Mainly because I knew a lot was about to change so I was trying to build it all up and update all at once. Now that I am looking back on it.. its a lot to write about and I don't even know where to start.

I guess I'll start with the move...

Zach was traveling back and forth every Tuesday and Thursday from Layton to Provo for his paramedic class. IT was actually really hard when you think about it because we only have one car and that is about an hour away so what if something happened and I needed to go somewhere. So we decided it would be best to just go ahead and move to Provo. It was our plan in the beginning to move her after Christmas but we decided to just go ahead and do it. I'm really glad we did. We found a pretty awesome condo that we are renting. Its a 3 bedroom/2 bath. It actually looks and feels like a home. I think mainly because we can paint. Because we can paint I actually painted kitchen......PURPLE!!!! haha Its pretty awesome!Ill post some pictures soon.

Buster especially likes the new place. There are all kinds of places for him to go and play. there is a really big dog park that is part of our community that he can go to and play.

PARENTS VISIT:

My parents stopped by for a visit last week for a few days. It was really good to see them. I cant believe it was almost a year since I saw them last! Time really went by fast because it really didn't feel like it was that long at all. We had plans to go to conference. Megann, my sister, had gotten tickets for everyone to go and mailed them out to us but I guess they got lost in the mail somewhere because we didn't get them until Monday. Oh well I guess.

While my parents were in town, I took my mom to IKEA. Ha ha she LOVED it. I knew she would.. who wouldn't love IKEA with all of its awesomeness. While we were at IKEA Zach and my dad played Halo. It was funny to come home and to see them in the dark playing XBox like a bunch of teenagers.

I told my parents that they have no excuse to not visit more often because they can fly for free!! Hopefully it wont be too long before they come for another visit!

ADOPTION:

Zach and I have been doing a lot of praying lately and we feel very strongly that we are suppose to adopt so I have been getting in touch with several different agencies just to follow up on their policies and what all we need to do. Who would have thought that just wanting to have a child would be such a long and difficult LEGAL road.

I learned that with almost every agency, in order for us to be placed on a financial aid list, we have to be trying for at least 2 years before they would consider us for financial aid. And in that 2 years we would have to be in constant care of an infertility specialist. YAY! NOT!!! I have been so overwhelmed with doctors this year with several misdiagnoses and scares that I am not to excited about the fact that we have to keep seeing one but hopefully we will have some luck to have either our own child or to be placed on the financial list because adoption is not cheap! Please keep us in your prayers.

ZACH SCHOOL:

Zach is LOVING the paramedic program. He said that once he finishes that the paramedic side of his jobs is probably going to be his favorite part. As a Paramedic Deputy Sheriff you respond to several different calls that most police aren't called for because they aren't trained to do so. That makes him feel pretty cool. He learned how to deliver a baby this week and he learned how to use a defibrillator last week. Take that medical emergencies!!!

MY SCHOOL:

Honestly I have no idea how people do it. How can you work full time and go to school full time. It is seriously so tough!!! I was trying to finish my degree up online through BYU-Idaho however they said I had too many credit to apply for the online degree program so I am transferring. The sad part is that I will lose so many of my credits because BYUI thinks its fun to make it impossible to go to school anywhere else. So I plan on finishing up here at UVU with Zach. The only thing is, I have to wait to start back up when he can find a part time job somewhere. NO WHERE IS HIRING!!! Not even Wal-mart! So until we can get him a job I am playing full time bread winner with 60 hour weeks. Hopefully I can start school back up in January. Then I will only have about a year left so that I can get my degree. FINALLY!

I think that is pretty much all that has been going on lately. I'm pretty excited about this next few weeks.. First anniversary, my birthday, little getaway, did I mention MY BIRTHDAY?!!!

So I have been trying to make my life more exciting... which has finally worked!
I don't even know where to start.

We got a dog a little while ago and this is the first opportunity I have had to post a picture of him. His name is Buster, but if you ask Zach his official name is "Busta Crime" He is a 4 month old Beagle and we love him. Zach even sings to him. We told our parents that he is their little grand-dog. ha ha

How could you not love this dog?

Well, Zach graduates the academy in just a few short weeks! I cant believe how fast the time has gone. Great news, Zach has been accepted to the Paramedic Program in Orem. Its really hard to get into and they only accept 24 people a year so We are really excited for him. He starts the end of August so we have to move to Orem but because if the program he can be a paramedic deputy sheriff and make even more money! He is really excited about being accepted. I just dont think hes too excited for more schooling. Luckily he will be done in a year and we can move back to Layton!

More good news, I have been trying to find ways to make extra money. I made a birthday cake for a friend of mine and she said that I should put an ad on KSL and so I did and I have had so many people call me and ask me to do a cake for them! I cant believe how easy it was to do. I have posted some of my cakes on facebook. Hopefully this time next year I can be a part of the Bridal fairs here in Utah. I'll try to post some pictures on here too soon.

Last bit of catch up news, my little brother in law received his endowments recently. It was so nice to go to the temple as a family and see him make such a special covenant with our Heavenly Father. It made me realize that before we go to the temple for our endowments we are still children in the Lord's eyes and then once we make that covenant with the Lord we are all grown up. I really saw a change in Chaz and I wish him the best with his mission. I know he will do great!

Just a little bit of exciting news... I fixed my camera so I can finally document our lives and ad photos on here. I'm going to become a real blogger.. Just wait!

Life has been so busy lately. I feel like I can never catch a break. I don't even know where to start so I guess this post will kind of be all over the place.

Chaz, my brother in law received his mission call. He will be serving in the Richmond Virgina mission. Zach and I keep telling him that hes going to gain so much weight because part of his mission is North Carolina. Haha!

I was suppose to go visit my dad for fathers day as a little surprise but nothing was working out. I couldn't figure out why I was so nervous, I figured it was because I have never flown stand by. Well I was on my way to the airport and I called the crew travel line. I found out that my flight was delayed by 20 mins which meant I would miss my connecting flight. So we turned around and I came home. I found out later that night that the flight ended up being 3 hours late so I would have gotten to New Orleans Saturday night just to turn around and come back on Sunday night. My dad was pretty bummed when he found out I was planning a little trip to see him and then I couldn't make it. So I'm hoping to come see him sometime this next month. He just had open heart surgery and for the first time since I moved to Utah, I wish I lived in Alabama again. Everyone was there but me.

Zach is getting really antsy because the Academy is coming to an end. He said that he cant wait to be done so that he can relax a little. Then I remind him that once the academy is over he will need to work again! Haha! One thing about the academy that is pretty dumb... They just started practicing shooting and the bullets are like $300 a case and he said that the instructors have them plow through them and they cant even save the casings to use later so we have spent almost $700 in bullets this month. Good thing we just planted a money tree!

I got an appointment with a fertility specialist and finally I think I am getting some results! I honestly feel like I have be poked and probed more this past 6 months than my entire life. His name is Dr. Johnson and he told me that before they treat my condition they want to find the source of it. He said that something as simple as a thyroid imbalance could have caused the cysts to form. So I feel really dumb that I let doctors start to treat a problem before finding out the source of it. I have a few test lined up over the next couple of weeks to find the exact cause of everything and then we will go from there to see what treatments/surgery options I have. Either way I feel a lot better about whats happening now. Dr. Johnson is such a great person, he helps you see the positive.

Zach and I got some free Disney tickets and so we are hoping to take Chaz to Disneyland this weekend for his graduation present. It worked out great because The tickets are free and the flights are free and my mom gave us hotel points so all we are paying for is the rental car and food. Hopefully everything works out!

I started this post a few weeks ago and its now July so I cant remember what all had happened so I guess Ill just end the post now. hopefully I will start getting better at posting.

Its been awhile since I posted last. Mainly because I have been waiting for something cool to happen so that when our blog is read people could be like "wow they are so cool! Look at how much fun they are having!" But alas.. nothing really all that cool has happened.

Zach is still doing really well in the Police Academy. Utah has put a freeze on hiring right now and so there are about 500 POST certified officers seeking jobs and all of departments are just building up a roster of people they would hire. So Zach went to an interview and there were over 200 people there for only 5 spots on the hiring roster. BOO!!! After lots of praying we have come to the decision that once he graduates from the Academy, he's going to start back at school and get a degree in Paramedic Medicine. Davis County is constantly hiring Paramedic Deputies. Basically no one applies because you have to be POST certified which takes 5months and then you have to have a Paramedics Certificate which takes about a year. So in August, Zach will be going back to school full time and most likely just work as a security officer until he graduates. We are expecting him to be graduating sometime next December.

As for me, I recently stepped down from my teaching position and the Preschool I worked at due to medical reasons. I am hoping that it is just a temporary thing and that I will be back in the fall. So for now, I am just doing jetblue. I finally got my computer and so I can work from home now! YAY! I haven't worked much though so I have been super BORED!! But I've picked up a few hours this week.

Zach's Camry finally went kaput! We took it in to get the emissions and safety tests ran and it failed miserably. It was going to cost a pretty penny to fix everything so we decided to sell it. Don't worry we aren't selling anyone a lemon car, we are actually going to sell it to CarMax. They buy cars from people. We will be happy if we get $500 for it so we will see.

Zach's brother, Chaz, is graduating from high school this week. We have been thinking about what to get him for graduation and we decided to take him to California for the weekend. I mean Zach and I fly free and his ticket will be like $15 so that should be fun for him. Chaz is also waiting to get his mission call. It has made em think a lot about my own mission and how much I miss it.

My dad recently had back surgery and he is doing well. Yesterday he started to feel light headed and actually passed out! My mom convinced him that he needed to go to the doctor. So when he did, they immediately emitted him to the hospital. His heart rate was 45 and he has a pacemaker. They think that when they did the surgery somehow it deactivated his pacemaker and so they may need to go back in a replace either the battery or they whole pacemaker so keep him in your prayers.

For memorial Day weekend, we went to Idaho to visit some friends from college. It was so good to see them. It was weird because it felt like we had never left and that we were still living the college life. I think that's a good thing, I like having friends that you can go a long time without seeing and then when you do its like no time at all has passed by. Those are my kind of friends. I just wish we could have stayed longer. We left late Friday night and then had to drive back Sunday morning because I had to work. I like little vacations.

Zach and I really want to go to New York. I have been watching Cake Boss a lot lately and so we decided that one weekend we were going to fly up to NY and go to Carlos' Bakery and get some pastries and hopefully meet Buddy!!!! Then we wanted to go out to eat to a seafood restaurant there in town and then fly back. It would be fun but who knows when that would happen. Its funny how working for an airline you get all excited about the places you can go but then when you factor in all the other expenses you quickly change your mind. I wish we got paid to just travel. haha.

I think that pretty much sums up our lives for the past however many weeks. I wish life were more exciting but oh well.

Catching Up

Well, you would think that working 17 hour days would make you tired but to be honest I haven't really felt that tired. I am almost done with my JetBlue training. We graduate from training this Friday and then after that we are on the phones. Zach and I would like to take a weekend trip soon. Maybe NYC? The great part is that its FREE!!!

Zach is doing so well in the academy. they had their first test last week and you have to score at least an 80%. He scored a 90% which was the highest score in the class. I am so proud of him and I know he will do well. We have put in a few applications with some departments. So far we have heard back from Centerville and Sandy. Both would be such blessings because they are some of the departments that pay better.

I have been struggling a lot lately with the whole PCOS. I have been on some medication that was basically suppose to jumpstart my periods and help me lose weight and nothing has happened. I know its all in the Lords timing and that I need to have patience but the Doctor said she is worried that there may be more wrong because I haven't been affected by the medication at all. I am scheduled for a whole bunch of doctors appointments soon to figure out what the next steps may be. Its just tough when I am always having people ask me when Zach and I will be having kids and then when I have friends who are pregnant. It really hit me how worried I am when a friend had a miscarriage and I saw how easy it was for them to miscarry and then hear that the doctor thinks I have about a 10% chance of ever getting pregnant and if that does happen I only have about a 40% chance of carrying it to full term. I guess I just wish that our "struggle" was anything but this.

On a lighter note, I finally got in touch with one of my converts from the mission. I have been trying to talk with them for MONTHS!!! I had heard that they were really struggling with their testimonies and they said that I was one of the only missionaries that they connected with so I have been trying to connect with them and finally found them. They are pretty far in the inactive lane and so I am hoping that my testimony and love for them will help them feel what they felt on the mission. So please pray for Julio and Ana.

JetBlue and Police

Now before you start thinking up some outlandish story about my new job at JetBlue and cops showing up, the title is quite opposite.

JetBlue is going to be a great job! I am really excited! Training is extremely intense and LONG!!!!! I am really tired but oh well its going to end soon.

Zach is loving the academy. He had the initial physical test and he did so good! I am very proud of him and I think he is going to do awesome! I think hes going to graduate top of class. He is so dedicated. Keep him in your prayers that he keeps up the good work and keeps the energy.

Happily Ever After

I have the hardest time coming up with titles for my blogs. I know you don't have to put a title but I cant just leave a box blank. So I was reading somewhere this week and came across this quote by Pres. Dieter F. Uchdorf. He said "I love it when we turn it to the last page and our eyes reach the final lines and we see the enchanting words "AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER-AFTER" isn't that what we all desire to be heroes and heroines of our own stories? to triumph over adversity, to experience life in all ...its beauty and in the end to live happily ever-after."

I like to think that I am living that happily ever after life! =) It has been a really long time since I have blogged and I figured that I need to do some now before my time runs short. Starting on Monday I will be working both at the preschool and then at JetBlue. I am really excited about the opportunity that we have to have the job with JetBlue because it opens up so many travel options for Zach and I!!!! So needless to say, with 2 full time jobs I will not have much time for the computer or for blogging. But I will try to keep up with it as much as I can.

Also, Zach will be starting the academy this next week as well! We bought his gun this past week. He loves it. It wasn't the one he wanted but I think that for a starter gun its just fine. He doesn't need a $900 gun to start with. Maybe Santa will love him this year and he can have the $900 sig sauer p228. (for any of Santa's little helpers I'm throwing out which one it is so that you can help me out. ahaha) I'm hoping to post some pictures of Zach in his academy uniform soon. Hopefully tomorrow. Oh and also, zach has job offers to work for Ogden, Centerville, and Sandy police departments. SO please keep him in your prayers so that we can pass all of the tests and get hired on by one of these forces, preferably Centerville!

School ends this week and I couldn't be more happier. I am soo burnt out on doing school work every night for HOURS!!!! We went to visit family this past week and I spent a lot of the time doing homework! BLAH! But yay! I can breathe until August....starting next Friday!

Not much more has happened. If you haven't seen "how to train your dragon" DO IT! its such a cute movie we love it. Oh haha I almost forgot the HUGE news, we moved! We are now in a HUGE 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. Its 1100 sq ft. We were in a 1 bed 1bath 400 sq ft so this is GREAT!!! Ill post pictures of the fun decorations (thanks to IKEA and Target) once I get everything all put away.

If I think of anything else fun to put, I'll be sure to do so. But as of right now its just me and my hero living happily every after!

Disney on Ice

This week has been so much fun! We weren't able to get any good pictures at the Disney on Ice show because we were as high up as you could possibly get...meaning the very top row. It was a really good show. I liked it all, except the Tinkerbell part. It wasn't that good. But the part that was good was the Lion King! I loved it. Anyone that is in the Salt Lake area they should definitely try to get to a show. I'm not sure when it ends but its definitely worth going to.

Last night Zach and I went to the Spring Home and Garden Show thinking it would be good..... BORING! There isn't much more to say about that.

Well, the Academy is just around the corner for Zach and he is getting really excited about it and cant wait to get into action. We ordered all of his equipment. Hes really excited about his baton and handcuffs. He was playing with them the whole time we were in the store. The last thing we need to get is his gun!

Oh and some really good news... SCHOOL IS DONE IN 3 WEEKS!!!! That is something I cant wait to happen. I am getting really burnt out and I need a little break. Sure its only a few weeks but still that break is much needed!

By the way, I just figured out the spellcheck on blogger. Is that sad or what? I have been thinking that I have been spellchecking but I always forget to click on "resume editing" and so the changes are never saved. If any of you didn't know this small fact consider it my gift to you.

This week has been kind of fun. We have been trying to get everything together for the Police Academy and its finally ready to send off all the paper work for his background check. Zach had to go get a picture taken for the academy and so his mom cut his hair and he shaved. I'm kind of sad about the goatee leaving but he has to be all sharp looking for them and so I guess I can handle a few months of it.

In school, we started learning about the weather. I bought the kids a giant panda that you have to put clothes on for whatever kind of weather that there is. They are loving it and are having so much fun doing it. We have a little construction paper TV with a weatherman in it that tells what the weather is that we are going to be learning about for the day. We are going to learn about storms next week. That is going to be so much fun because I remember some of the things I did when I was younger and its fun to do them with the kids. for example, I remember making a tornado in a water bottle with aluminum foil balls. Its going to be fun!

Zach took off work on Friday so that he could get his physical done and then he took off on Saturday so that we could spend the day together. Let me just say, this weekend has been so wonderful because I have been able to spend so much time with him. We went and saw Alice and Wonderland. Honestly, we were both really disappointed. It could have been a lot better. Good thing we saw it early in the morning so we didn't waste too much money. Saturday night we went on a double date and it was so much fun I felt like such a little kid. We went out to eat at Johnny Carino's YUMMY! and then we went to the nickle arcade. I only won 85 tokens. I cant believe that some people spend so much money they had seriously like 1000s of tickets. They are serious arcaders!

So something funny happened on Friday. I had applied for a job with Jetblue way back in October and I never heard from them again so I figured nothing was going to happen with it. Well, apparently they are interested because they were doing a background check on me and called my new work and wanted to verify my employment. How they got the number I have no idea. I guess they have some crazy good investigators or something. Well, Jenni (my boss) was like "You aren't leaving us are you?" Haha no way! I love my job! Anyways so I got a call from them on Saturday sometime saying I passed all of the initial checks and they wanted to do a interview with me. I told them that I already had a full time job and that I couldn't commit to them. I was then told I could do it part time at nights and on the weekends. Well, Nights don't work because I will be doing some classes at nighttime BUT weekends would be fine! especially with Zach no longer working at Wal-mart, the extra money would be nice. We'll see.

Speaking of school, I think that I might be able to graduate by July or December. either one would be nice. I have been meeting with advisers for a little over a week and they are helping me see if I would benefit from changing my major to General Studies so that I can graduate early. I think I can I might just have to take a few classes at night but that's OK! I'm just ready to be done with school. I love the job I have so I don't think that I need to keep going to school forever and ever now. I think that I can just get my BS in General Studies and just keep teaching where I am.

So next week I'm going to Disney on Ice with my friend Millie. Our husbands are LAME! and wont go with us! Boo! But we are pretty excited because we are going on opening night! I cant wait to be surrounded by all the little kids. By the way, I'm not sure if I ever posted it or not but Zach and I got free Disneyland tickets for doing the Disney give a day get a day program! We are going to try to go when he gets out of the academy!

Not much other stuff has been happening. I'm excited for the fun stuff of next week!

A whole week..

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry cyber world for neglecting you for over a week of updates. I hope you are OK! So not a whole lot has happened for us this week. Just been keeping on with the keeping on. The weeks are coming to a close for Zach and Walmart. Parting is such sweet sorrow....NOT!!! Hes really excited to quit and start up with the Police Force. I'm excited for him too.

Without getting too personal because I don't want my feelings all over for the world to see. We got the results back and I do have PCOS. Kind of sad because the Doctor said I have about a 10% chance of getting pregnant and if that does happen its like a 45% chance of carrying it to full term. That's kind of sad news right?I also have medication that I will have to take for the rest of my life. GREAT NEWS THERE... The meds I have to take will help stabilize my insulin and help me get skinny again! yay! Luckily I have an amazing husband that is so faithful and just knows that the Lord will bless us with a family. I love him and I know that everything will work out how the Lord wants it to happen. I know we will have a family.. it may just be nontraditional and through adoption. Maybe we'll get a Haitian child. who knows? I know the Lord will be merciful so I'll just keep the faith and prayer....

On a happier note.

I colored my hair this week. Its been blonde for a while and I LOVE IT but with him going to the academy I cant afford to keep doing the touch ups and plus it was time for a change so I went back to my natural Brown. It seems so dark but I think its just because I am so use to the blonde. I'll post pictures soon. (when I feel cute again)

Hahaha so the funniest thing happened.. I asked Zach what he wanted for Valentine's day and at first it was another video game. I told him thats what I would get him but he kept making comments that I never cook so I decided to make him a fancy meal. We had spinach and artichoke croissants with a spinach and Parmesan dip. next was a yummy Caesar salad. then the big boy.... Cornish game hen with an apricot glaze mmmmmm! and to top it off chocolate pie. Yeah I did good. I cooked all day. I had rose petals and candles all over the living room (yeah the apartment is too small to have a dining room so i had to set up shop in the living room) it was nice. the dinner was perfect and he loved it.. then all of a sudden we look behind Zach and 2 of the candles made the carpet catch on fire.. uh oh! haha I guess that will be fun to explain to management.

I got some fancy flowers and the new Nick Jonas and the Administration CD. It is sooo awesome!!! Everyone should buy one.

Oh and more exciting news.... Zach got his police academy scores back. You have to take a test to be accepted into the academy. You have to score at least a 70 and he got an 85! I'm so proud of him. on the part that was actually police related he got a 92! The math and English parts were his worst areas and he still did good! Like I said before IM SO PROUD!!!

Grandpas cake

This is the cake we made for Grandpa Pounder's Birthday. It was a lot of fun doing. He really likes hunting so I thought this was appropriate. I've been thinking a lot lately and I would love to do this somewhat professionally but I have no idea how to get started. Plus I think I would freak out a little bit if I had to do it for someone. WHAT IF THEY DIDNT LIKE THEIR CAKES??? anyways, here is grandpa's... we also made a UPS cake for Brett's (my father in law) birthday. its WAY cute. i'll post a picture soon.

Ok so I dont know about anyone else but I love to look up all the fancy stuff they ahve for blogs. Its so fun even though I dont know how to do all the stuff. In fact I dont know how to do anything but type and add the little backgrounds. But I love doing this and I hope to get better at it. I just wish that we had more exciting lives so that I could add more to the blog. I did find out that there is this site that you can go to and they will turn your blog into a book. I think its called blurb.com so I decided that this will be how I do my journals for my dkids and stuff. I'll just turn this here ole blog into a book once I think its long enough and wala... instant journal.

Doctor's visit

I went to the doctor a few days ago and found out that I could possibly have PCOS. I have all the major signs of it but they aren't sure yet until I have an ultrasound. So that is scheduled for the 18th of this month. It was a really big bummer for me and Zach because there is a chance that I may not be able to have kids or that my pregnancies will be really hard on me..... so we have decided to start fighting it... after all it is only a syndrome not a disease. I just really need to take care of myself regardless of if I have PCOS. So we started a really strict diet plan. He is so amazing.. He's even going to do it with me. I hope that I can stick to it. He said the funniest thing today. We were buying our groceries and it was all super healthy and stuff and I was like man this sucks and he said you better hope we get babies from this. haha. So we're going to try... either way its always good to take care of yourself. Hopefully the updated post of this says I'm in the clear and that I was gaining weight for no reason and it wasn't PCOS.

On a funny note... while I was waiting on the doctor I was reading all of the little pamphlets. There was one that said something like "menopause hasn't changed but the way to treat it has evolved." It had pictures of the different methods. 2000 was a patch 1980 was a pill 1970 was a shot and 1950 was a fan. I laughed hard at that..

My IKEA love affair

So the first picture is some fun window panels I bought and turned into some wall art on both sides of the bed. The other 2 pictures are of the new bedding. I really like it because its a lot lighter and more my style. This was my first visit to IKEA and I fell in LOVE! I was there for close to 3 hours this past weekend and I only left because I had to get home. I bet I could have been there another 3 hours! haha! I guess its a good thing our apartment is small and I cant fit a lot of decorations and such. But you better beleive when we get a bigger place... my love affair might grow.

So its been a while since i have posted anything and I guess that means I am failing on this whole new year goal of keeping an updated life. But I just wanted to say I LOVE MY JOB!!!! I seriously enjoy going to work everyday. The entire month of January we have been learning about music and the kids impress me everyday. We learned how to tell the difference between every type of instrument and the difference between rock and roll and classical (we listened to bach and queen) haha the kids are funny because they were like turn it off when I played queen but they loved the classical music. I am so impressed how smart they are and they are only 3! I'm really excited for February because our theme is "love makes the world go round" and each week we are going to be learning about a new country. I know they will do great!

New Year

So 2010 has already started to give us a BIG preview of whats in store for the year. Its been a really busy couple of weeks. We have been trying to get everything together because Zach enters into the Police Academy in April so we are trying to get everything together. His mom is a little scared for him but we prayed and we both feel so good about it. As for me, school has started up and its soo busy! Everyday there is some kind of work to do. I dont like it! But at least work is so fun! This month is a rockband themed learning and the kids are having a blast learning!

cakes

So I have picked up decorating cakes as a hobby that I really love doing. Zach and I started off joking that we wanted to decorate our own wedding cake so we have been practicing and I love it. This is a cake a made for my friends wedding. I really liked the way it turned out. Its the last cake I made. Santa brought me cake decorating lessons from Hobby Lobby for christmas. Im really excited to be able to work out all the little boo boos I have sometimes.

This is the cake we made for Chaz's birthday. I loved making it. the whole thing is edible. It was a killer bunny themed cake. So we molded a rabbit and rocket out of modling chocolate. It took some getting use to but I think it turned out pretty awesome.

Ha Ha Ha! This was our very first cake we made. We were so proud of it and thought it was beautiful. What were we thinking?!?!? But all in all I think we did good considering that everything including the fondant was made from scratch. I'll be sure to always add some pictures of our cakes as we make them.

Catching up

So a lot has happened with Zach and I over the past few months, so I thought it appropriate to just highlight the important stuff. We were married on October 10 and surprisingly enough the day went very smoothly. Gina (my mother-in-law) said the only bump we hit that day was that her necklace broke so all in all a good day. Its funny how you spend sooo much time planning for just a few hours. We just barely got our wedding pictures and it kind of makes me want to get married again... but then I think of all the stress and I quickly change my mind.

After the reception in Utah we all headed down to Alabama for the small little reception there. Zach and I weren't there long, but we did manage to help my parents move from there old house into their new one (ON OUR HONEYMOON need I remind you!!!) We are such good kids right? We left from Mobile, Alabama on our honeymoon to Mexico. It was wonderful although we did get really sick on the cruise. (I am quite sad to say that we are really bad at documenting our lives and we didn't get a single picture from the whole cruise which is why I have decided to start blogging so that I can try to do better at taking pictures and putting down the things we do.) While we were in Cozumel we did the power snorkle. Its like a little hand held scooter that drags you around so you can snorkle without doing anything. It was awesome!

Well, once we got back.. the caos began! I became ill with the swine flu for 2 weeks and then just as I was starting to get better Zach was sick too! We were to lazy for me to go to the doctor so I kept the really bad cough for about a month or so. He did get to the doctor and was put on some medication and was better within 2 weeks. We both started working a lot to make up for the 2 and 1/2 weeks we took off for the wedding and that was really tiresome. I was working and Old Navy and he was at Walmart. We really are blessed that we had jobs that we could just transfer with when we moved from Rexburg to Layton. Well, I wasn't particularly fond of working from 5am to 2pm everyday. I was always tired and I didn't get to see much of Zach because I went to bed so early. So I started look for a new job and the Lord blessed me with a wonderful job as a teacher at a preschool. So now Zach and I are working the same schedule and we can see each other for a little bit more everyday. Now we just need to get Zach a new job.
